Our trip to the National Stationery Show 2011

May is my favorite month of the year because I bring my staff with me to New York to attend the National Stationery Show.  Here we are, ready…set …shop!

The  following products will be available in the next few weeks.

Finally found a couple of new lines of Greeting Cards for the store.  Salty Dog from Santa Barbara, California.  Very cool, very fun and such great owners.

The cards are made in the US, from 100% recycled, chlorine and acid free paper which is made using wind energy and they give back through donations to worldwide, environmental organizations. How cool is that?

Lovely quality with a genuine message.

Here’s another wonderful line of Greeting Cards that just had us hooked!  Gottalottaheart and their tag line is “cards for the nicest kind of people” but I have to tell you that THEY are the nicest people out there.  They won the 2010 Louie award (very prestigious in the stationery world) for design and are made from recycled paper…of course and hand designed and assembled.

They are so thoughtful when making their square cards (which when mailed in a square envelope costs more in postage) that they created a rectangular one so it would only require regular postage…  AND because these cards are so gorgeous and you would never throw them out, they include a stand in each envelope! How unique is that?

Another brand new product from Dallas, Texas that we just LOVE.  This time it’s called Shared Wisdom.  It’s a keepsake gift box that you give to a new bride-to-be or new mother-to-be.  At the shower, the guests fill in cards with words of wisdom to share and the recipient gets to read these whenever she wants or needs to.

It’s like having your friends and family when you need them most, through the long nights with baby, after your first month of marriage and when your baby is all grown up!

You say Bonbonieri and I say Koufeta!
